• Klaus is interested in Caroline but any potential romance is put on hold for his spin off.

• Angel has a child with Darla.
• Klaus has a child with Hayley.

• Both Angel and Stefan get locked in a metal box and thrown into a body of water and left there to die at the end of a season finale. 

• The last time Buffy saw Angel before the spin-off was when she Graduated.
• The last time Caroline saw Klaus before the Spin-off was when she graduated.

• Angel and Stefan are both “nice” vampires tormented and riddled with guilt of their past crimes.

• The First Evil of BTVS can take the form of anyone who has died, human or vampire. Silas can change his appearance to whomever he wants.
• The First Evil is the “embodiment and source of all that is evil”. Silas was the first Immortal.

• Bonnie brought Jeremy back from the dead.
• Willow brought Buffy back from the dead.

• Cordelia and Caroline were bitchy high school preps turned nice girls.
• Cordelia had a short relationship with Zander who helped her to become a better person, Caroline had a short relationship with Matt who helped her to become a better person.
